Daniel Young Elementary may be one of the smallest schools in the district, but we have a big heart—and an even bigger community spirit. We’re a neighborhood school made up of working parents, grandparents, teachers, and families, and we all want to be part of making our school a great place for our kids.

We know everyone is busy. PTA is how we pool our time, talents, and energy to make things happen without expecting any one person to do it all. Whether you have an hour to volunteer, a great idea to share, or simply want to show up and be part of the community, there’s a place for you here.

Many hands make light work—and at DYE, those hands make some pretty great things happen.

Learn about PTA: Go to the "Our PTA" tab above and explore to learn what PTA is and what we do. 

Become a Member: Your membership fee helps support the work of the PTA, and being a member gives you a voice in deciding how PTA budgets and plans.

Volunteer: There are lots of fun ways to get involved; watch the Volunteer tab to find one that fits your interest and your schedule (or suggest your own- we love new ideas!)

Other Support: We all have different things to share: if volunteering for an event doesn't work for you, but you can make some phone calls, or have supplies to donate, or have a great community connection, let us know!

Above all, we care about creating a strong community centered on our school.

Website Login: You'll create this once, and use it every year

Membership: Log in to buy a new membership each year.

Why do I need to log in?

There are many of parts of the website you can get to without logging in.

But having your own account lets you update the contact info we have for you, and gives you access to some of the online tools that we need to keep more secure (like an online directory!)

So, log in (or create a free account) to have full access!
